Spring in cover also serves as low pressure valve together with the filter element. At a low pressure of -0.3 bar the filter element lifts off the lower gasket and clears the passage without filtration. The valve at the bottom of the filter casing is open during operation. While changing the filter cartridge this valve closes, thus preventing an dirty oil to enter the filter. Medium passes the filter elements from inside to outside. Filter may be additionally provided with vaccum pressure switch or vaccum gauge.
